CALLING FOR NOMINATIONS TO PDA BOARD
Notice for the intention of Calling for Nominations To the board of Physical Disability Australia Ltd.
This notice serves to inform members and interested others, that nominations are being called for Board members to Physical Disability Australia Ltd. (PDA) for the next 2 years.
Individual members of PDA will receive nominations papers, then later voting papers by mail in the coming weeks. Please advise us if you have had a recent address change.
Positions open are for the following states and territory. One person only is to be elected for each state or territory.
1. ACT
2. SA
3. NSW
4. VIC
5. NT
6. WA
7. QLD
Criteria for eligibility:
1. Each nominee must be a member of PDA (membership closes on 6th September 2010)
2. Each nominee must be proposed by an existing member of PDA
3. Each nominee must be aligned to their local Physical Disability Council or similar organisation.
4. Each nominee must be over the age of 18 years
5. Each nominee must have a physical disability
6. Each nominee must reside in Australia.
Board skills required:
Governance Financial accounts for not for profit organisations
Management in not for profit organisation
Affiliated with your local Physical Disability Council or similar organisation.
Policy Development
National Disability focus
Experienced using email and computers
An understanding of disability from a national perspective.
A nomination form and a background information sheet for each person is required to nominate in the first instance. If you would like to receive these papers by email, please email pda@pda.org.au or telephone: 1300 781 786 for the cost of local call and these will be sent to you.
Nominations close at 5.00pm on Monday 13th September 2010.
No late nominations will be received after that time.
