A program of national and international speakers who will address many common forms of muscular dystrophy in separate strands or generally where applicable. Duchenne is weighed more heavily being the most common disorder in the muscular dystrophy group.
International presenters include:
Jos Hendriksen - Cognition(NL), Jeff Chamberlain - Research (US), Kate Bushby - Clinical Research /TREAT-NMD (UK), John Bourke - Cardiology (UK), Jes Rahbek - Rehab (DK) and Louis Boitano - Respiratory (USA).
It is important to note the national disability conference funding through the Department of Families, Housing, Community Services and Indigenous Affairs (FaHCSIA) through which our indigenous and disadvantaged family members may apply for some assistance by writing to helenposselt@ozemail.com.au
In addition to the layperson our conferences target educators, scientists, doctors, specialists, and allied health therapists in order to inform about world standards of care and management.
