The PDA Youth Alliance was created to provide a dedicated forum, voice and network for young Australians (between the ages of 18 and 30 years) living with physical disability who are PDA Members.

Established to support, unite and empower young adults with a physical disability, the Youth Alliance exists as a welcoming and safe community of understanding and belonging.

This initiative provides an opportunity for those involved to share ideas and concerns and to socialise, network and find a voice alongside other young adult PDA Members.. To learn more please visit get in touch by email or by checking us out on our socials (see below) .

The Youth Alliance team has some great plans in the pipeline and we’d love to welcome you along for the ride.

Physical Disability can feel both isolating at times but challenging in a positive sense. When young people with physical disabilities leave school/have changes to their support systems, as an individual these transitions can feel overwhelming but the process of coming together to share our successes or challenges with other people with disabilities creates a sense of belonging and connection to allow youth to learn from peers to come up with solutions to NDIS, COVID or the ups and downs of life.

Tim Harte

he PDA Youth Network is the only Disabled Peoples Organisation network in Australia that makes space for young people with disabilities to socialise and talk about their experiences, in a supportive environment with friends who experience similar barriers. Young people with disabilities experience many barriers to socialising and even when we do socialise we can feel like 50% of the time we are explaining accessibility barriers and seemingly endless NDIS appeals to friends. The Youth Network provides a safe environment where despite the diversity of our disabilities, living circumstances, physical location and background we chat, have fun and check in with each other, sharing many funny stories and sharing and supporting each other through our challenging lives as young people with disabilities. I am involved in the PDA Youth Network because it does all of the above and more to enable every young Australian living with a physical disability to realise their full potential.
