CAN YOU HELP?
Public consultation has now opened around the NDIS Evidence Advisory Committee’s review of supports in their efforts to ensure that they are safe, beneficial and cost-effective for people with disability.
Input from the disability community will work towards the committee’s advice to government to improve outcomes for NDIS participants.
The Committee would like to hear from people who:
- currently use the support
- have previously used the support
- would like to use the support in the future
- support or care for people who use the support
- use another support for the same purpose or a similar purpose
- do research on these or similar supports
- are otherwise interested in providing feedback.
This includes:
- * people with disability
- * families and carers of people with disability
- * service providers and clinicians
- * people who do research about disability or disability supports
- * other interested people.
Supports the Committee will be reviewing include:
- * Art therapy
- * Functional electrical stimulation
- * Hyperbaric oxygen therapy as a disability support
- * Music therapy
- * Prosthetics with microprocessors
- * Therapy suits.
If you use these supports or other supports for similar goals, they want to hear from you.
